Tom Lanin brings over 25 years of senior corporate leadership
to his clients.


Tom’s experience includes large corporations and small business; manufacturing and service industries; union and non-union shops; and commercial and government customer bases.

Tom served as the CEO of Bowmar Instrument Corporation, an American Stock Exchange company. Prior to becoming CEO Tom spent 8 years as Bowmar’s Chief Financial Officer. He thoroughly understands corporate governance and the sensitivities of working closely with a Board of Directors. As an executive at the American Express regional facility in Phoenix, Arizona his responsibilities involved operations in three states, managing a multi-layer organization with 500 employees and a budget of over $100 million.

His unique ability to view business in the broadest context while fully comprehending the details, enables him to understand the most complex business situations and communicate clearly at all levels. Tom’s leadership is characterized by empowerment and team involvement and by surrounding himself with excellence.

As an executive coach, Tom has helped dozens of executives in a variety of industries and functional areas to achieve more effective and productive careers. Over the last twelve years he has been helping executives in career transition both as an adjunct to the world’s largest career transition company and as an independent consultant.

Tom holds an MBA from Wayne State University in Michigan and a BS in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He is also a former Big Four CPA.
